There's templates for resumes and all you have to do is fill in the blanks so to speak.

Mine was pretty good... Seriously though, i got tons of comments on it when i was interviewing for jobs, all of which i was lucky enough to get offers.

Seriously though, recruiters and human resources people can smell a 'template' resume a mile away. what i would do is get one of those 'resume books' from the library. peruse it to get ideas and make it your own.

the key to a good resume is attractive layout, NO errors and the crucial information about you... (like you don't need to put hobbies on there).

and then after the resume, you have to do the cover letter... which is even harder to do and often times more important than the resume because based on that, they decide whether or not they even want to read your resume!
GOOD LUCK!

I'm thinking about hiring a professional resume writer at this point. But they are sooo expensive

I am working as a social worker, but not licensed, since I have a masters degree in clin. psyc.

I am thinking about going into the corporate world where I can get paid more and have a 9-5 day.

Any suggestions ???
