FH and I want to purchase an SLR. The thing is, we don't know much about cameras. We need something we can figure out how to use. I'm not sure how many mega pixels we should be looking for. Help!

i dont know much about them but have been researching them myself bc i plan to get one after the wedding.
I personally love canon cameras but have also heard good things about the nikon slr cameras. I would say it depends on your price range...the more megapixels the better but the price goes up.
I have used the canon eos rebel (not sure which one) and found them pretty user friendly
i would love to get some other input though before making the purchase....

I have the Canon Rebel XS. It's an excellent starter camera. It shoots beautifully on Auto, though I highly recommend that to get proper use out of your camera, you take a quick course or even just watcha youtube video.

I have a Canon Rebel T2i...it's amazing...very beginner friendly and I'd highly recommend!!
