NWR: Anyone VERY good with broadway (and off broadway) music???

I need some broadway/off broadway hip hop songs (mixes will do) does anyone know of any?

ETA: So far I'm using Stomp, Steel City and possibly Newsies.

WOW not one thing comes to mind lol.

BUT what your best bet is songs from footloose that are remixed or saturday night fever that are remixed.

do you want to mix a broadway tune to a hip hop beat?
I am a 'broadway baby' so i know a lot about the music...

There are some hip hop mixes from Rent on Itunes ...
Wicked has some remixes out there too...

Annie can remix to hip hop very well too

.... i'm trying to think of songs we mixed for cheerleading and dance team...

I'm usually great with these kind of things...we just got our 08 recital theme for one of my dance schools which is going to be 'Broadway Bound' and I need to start with ideas I have to get 2 tap songs (so easy for this theme), 1 lyrical song (another easy) then 3 hop hop songs (hardest).

La vie bohem from rent might work well for you...

Can you use Jay Z's song that he mixes hard knock life from Annie into??

I have a great mixing program but I was hoping to get a song straight out of a show...so maybe I'll pay around mixing some stuff but now I have to find some good background beats to mix to

yeah russell simmons did it, but it was basically just someone standing up alone and reading their own poetry. They show it on HBO sometimes.
