Re: NWR: anyones FH or know a mechanic?
heres the problem:
3 years ago, I got into an acccident in my accord....after it came back from being fixed, the odometer from time to time (its digital) kind of gets all fuzzy....like the numbers aren't clear, where an 8 looks like a 6 or what not......but it happens every so often, not consistenly.....it doesn't affect the mileage count what soever since majority of the time its fine and working......kinda like the way the screen of a calculator looks when you are pressing down on it with your finger and the numbers come out all scrambly
I went to take my car to honda to trade it in for a new car.......they said since at the time they turned it on to appraise, it, the freakin odometer was doing that fuzzy thing again, and they couldn't get a true reading of the mileage on the car.....eventhough when I pulled out of the parking lot, it was back and working fine. Now, they think the actual mileage hasn't been accounted for, as if the odometer itself is broken.
I have to get it fixed or pray the next honda i take it to, it wont do that fuzzzy crap again so they can give me the full value for it, rather than half.
I need to know how the odometer problem can be fixed? is it expensive/? it must be something electrical from the computer part of it....
thank you!

FH says that maybe the fuse that lights up the dashboard is lose... or the computer needs to be reset. But he thinks its strange that the dealership cant tell you what needs to be fixed.

Re: NWR: anyones FH or know a mechanic?
its weird becuase most of the time, it works, and I can see it has 122652 miles on it......once in a while it flakes out for a minute or 2 but comes back...
i dont wanna chance it that I take it to another dealership and the same thing happens and I get offered 1500 instead of the $4000 for it.....
does he think its expensive?

he doesn't think so. His brother runs the shop, he can call him tomorrow and find out for you. which dealership did you take it to?
