My coworker told me today Im crazy to get married before we buy a house together. But right now its easier for us to live in our very cheap apartment and save $ while also paying off debts, before we get a house. Is it really THAT crazy? We are both very happy.
No that's not crazy at all! That is most likely what we will be doing as well. The cost of living is WAYY too expensive on Long Island, and we want to wait until we become more established in our jobs before we buy a house.
Crashing! Not crazy at all. In fact if you have debts chances are a mortgage approval may be far off anyway! Let people think whatever they want and do what's right for you, in a perfect world we'd all buy houses before getting married and it would be renovated and modern and new. Real life sucks.
Plenty of people rent while they're newly married, and beyond even.
Pay her no mind. Many people rent before buying a home. You want to bring down your debt to credit ratio down enough before adding a mortgage on your list. Focus on your marriage and what is best for the both of you. Everything will work out when its the time.
Fh and I are in the process of looking for a house cause we know we can not afford a house right now. So we will rent and save up money until we can afford one. I don't think it is crazy at all. Do what works best for you and your FH.
That's not crazy at all! Buying a house is a big deal, it's not something you just jump into when you're not ready. Don't listen to other people, you have to do what's best for you guys.
We are living in a tiny apartment to save money, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it at all! You buy a house when you are ready for it.
