NWR: Apartment hunting-need help?

Any suggestions on where to start looking? I feel like I'm all over the place. I would like to stay somewhere near Nassau or maybe Queens since I work in the city. But we could be flexible so long as the train station is close by.

But I don't know where to start, where to look and it's really overwhelming with planning the wedding and spending so much thus far.

Any thoughts I'm really starting to get anxiety attacks about not finding a place to live or not being able to afford one in time.

What I do know is that DH and I really don't want to rent from someone's home and we are looking to pay no more than $1100/mo w/basic utilities.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is soo overwhelming.

Thanks in advance, sorry for rambling

Hi - It is overwhelming! FH and I looked on Craigslist. Many of these are people's houses, but even for these, a lot of the listings come from realtors. I woudl call, and then the realtor may have more or different apts to show you. They can be very helpful :)

Also, I am not sure about finding $1100 month for an apt not in somebody's house, but it can't hurt to look. Might depend on the area. But if you find one...let me know!!
