Anyone know a good place on LI to go apple picking? Havent gone in 2 years and forgot the name of the place...thanks!
ive been to lewin farms before, you have to go later in sepetember though for apples
I was just signing on to post this about apple picking, so funny! haha thanks for posting it first! :0)
We go to Wickhams too. I love it there. They sell pies, cider and fruit too. You ride on a wagon to get to the apple trees. There are a lot of different types to choose from. When you're finished, you get back on the wagon and it takes you to the pumpkin patch. The pumpkins are still on the vines. It is also a really nice drive. We stop to buy mums and get corn from a roadside stand. You [will also pass some wineries along the way.
the apple picking isn't too great here...
My mom went to Lewins last weekend and said she got a lot of apples.
We go to the Milk Pail u-pick in Watermill every year. It's great, and there are different varieties ripening every week now thru November. DH and I were just picking our weekend to go the other night. Have fun!
