NWR: APT in Manhattan..

Can someone recommend a good website to find apt rentals in the city other than craigslist, newsday (apartment.com) , NYtimes, ect?
Or if anyone that knows someone who's looking for tenant to occupy apt around the midtown area, please let me know!! The budget is around $1500 for one bed/studio and up to $2600 for 2 bed.

Thanks

Rent.com
citi-habitats.com

I was just looking at apts. In general, I found studios to be in the $1500-2k range. Decent 1 bedroom apts are $3000+ and 2 bedrooms are $3500+.

I could not even get a one bedroom split (2 roommates sharing 1 bedroom apt) for $1500 EACH last year.

Manhattan rent prices have gone up 30-40% this year. It's crazy. I can't believe what landlords are asking. I know because I've been looking!

Here's a great website that has a list of no-fee management companys (gets you out of having to pay a broker's fee): No Fee Management

There are links to different building's sites and many of them have current apt listings. Hope this helps

ETA: You might be able to find a studio apt in midtown for $1500 in a walk-up building but it will be hard to find a 2 bedroom for $2600 (though I think you could definitely find a 1 bedroom or maybe a convertible 1 bedroom - cutting off 1/2 the livingroom). I have a lot of friends in studios right now One pays $1800 for a studio in midtown that has an elevator but no doorman, another pays $1500 for a studio with a sleeping loft on the Upper West in a walk-up, another pays $1800-1900 for an alcove studio (I think he converted it to a 1 bedroom) in a walk-up on the Upper East Side. Hope this helps

ETA: oops! Didnt realize someone already posted this! Good luck!

Also, we have an apt. that we are subletting on the UWS right now. If we gave it up, someone moving in would be paying $500 more PER MONTH. CRAZY!
