I want a Brittany Spaniel..I had one growing up and he was my best friend...god i miss him dearly
My FH agreed we can name him after my old pupster!....I def want a boy and he will be named Brandy....I want a house so i can get a pup.....
this is what the brittany looks like...i dont have any pics of my old doggie scanned...

OMG - SOOO cute! I want one of those now. We plan to get a cat as soon as we move into our new house (the yard has no grass and isn't fenced, so we are waiting on getting a dog). I always wanted a Great Dane, but FH doesn't love the idea! I think they are awesome, but they only live for like 8 years so that is the one thing that makes me rethink my decision.....
I've always loved great danes but they are just SO big and a huge expense (they eat a lot). But they are so loyal and loving!

When I was in HS I would go run at the local track and always saw this same guy walking three gorgeous Great Danes - I wanted one ever since (although I can't imagine having three!) He said they were great pets (thus why he had three!)

I had a Brittany growing up too! They are such great dogs, I miss mine! I definitely want another Britney at some point.

Ok girls I am so jealous of all of you who have these ADOREABLE dogs!!! I had a little beagle but we had to put him down 2 years ago. I haven't had a dog since.
On a happier note... FI and I both love dogs and I have no doubt once we get a house we'll get the dog.

Yeah it was! This was years ago - a year or two ago I saw him with two. Just talking about it i want to get one!

Right now we have our cat, but if I had my choice, I would want a dog.
Too many breeds to choose from that I would want!!! I am torn between a Shih Tzu, Samoyed, American Eskimo, Alaskan Malamute, Caim Terrier, Chow Chow, Keeshond, Maltese and Pomeranian.
Although my brother has a Pomeranian named Foxy who does not calm down or shut up!!

we already have our pup, shes 2 years old already. i think her bday is our wedding date. her name is molly and shes a pomeranian (although we bought her from a puppy store, so she is probably a puppy mill dog :( she doesn't quite look purebread to say the least, but shes still adorable). see her pic in my avatar.
Although my brother has a Pomeranian named Foxy who does not calm down or shut up!!
lol so true. if you get a pom, you have to socialize them very well! we regret not doing this and she barks like crazy when people come over (though she will calm down after 10 minsor so). they are very over protective.

I want a beagle named Charlie.
growing up my Dad hunted, and my Dad raised his own dogs and breeded them. Charlie was my favorite dog, and he died when he was 14. I want another beagle named Charlie.
BUT FH wants a Great Dane. I want a backyard with grass though.

I've always wanted a chocolate lab. But FH has 2 cats so if we decide to get a dog one day, it will need to be a puppy and one that will get along with cats. It will be tough.

Yes, I already have a mini whippet mix (Sandy) and we are going to get her another small dog to entertain her, maybe a shiztsu (sp) or a cockerspaniel.

I'd love a dog, but although FH seems to like them when he's around them, he wants nothing to do with them as an owner. I got him to budge on the cat though so maybe one day I can get my way on the dog too... maybe when we have a house.
