Re: NWR: AWWWWW Steve Irwin
What a horrible thing.
The bigger shame is these kids are now growing up without their father. I know he was a celebrity and all but to constantly put your life in danger and not consider the responsibility of being a father... It's just so tragic.
I couldn't watch him anymore when I saw him bring Bindi within harm's reach of a dangerous animal.
He was a delight to kids of all ages around the world, and I am sad for his family. While his death is tragic, I believe that he died doing what he loved best, and I know he's probably looking down at all of the mourners saying 'Crickey! All this for little ole' me!'
RIP Steve Irwin!

As crazy as I thought he was working with those animals, he made me laugh - he will be missed world wide for the enjoyment he brought to children and adults alike!

Re: NWR: AWWWWW Steve Irwin
This was such terrible news to learn of!!!!! Not only was he a wife and father, but he was so young too!!
But I think that's the way he would've liked to have gone, as sad as it is.
RIP Steve, we loved you!!!!!

my friend is teaching in japan right now and there are a lot of australians in the program with her. she said a lot of them are really happy b/c they hated him. apparently he was from a 'hicky' area and looked down on.
i think that's terrible personally.
I am actually living in Australia right now and he is regarded as a hero here. He is probably getting a state funeral! EVERYONE here is devasted. He brought so much tourism to Australia and did so much for conservation. I was just at his zoo and his zoo is amazing! It is a terrible thing. His poor children and wife.
maybe she just works with a bunch of crappy people...

I know, I felt so bad about that. I loved him - he was such a personality - larger than life...I feel for his family. All my prayers go out for him and to his family...
