NWR: Baby kittens

NWR: Baby kittens

This afternoon two baby kittens were meowing and scratching at my door. They are SO cute, but my whole family is allergic.
I've called every animal shelter and they are either closed today or not accepting kittens.
Does anyone want one or two baby kittens? I dont know what to do with them now and we cant bring them in my house because of the allergies!

One is all black/dark gray. The other is tan with blue eyes.

FM me for pics- they are too big to post!

i would try and set some cat food outside for them - they are probably trying to get in because they are hungry - you can try calling all about spay neuter
(www.allaboutspayneuter.com) - her name is Joann - she should be able to help you out keep us updated

Thanks I'll try calling her! We put them in a box with towels- they're sleeping now, and fed them baby formula with droppers. They werent interested in the cat food!

Did you call the Freeport Animal Shelter? DH and I volunteer there. I know they have TONS of cats, but it is worth a shot if they have no where else to go. Play up the sob story

Re: NWR: Baby kittens

you can't use baby formula for kittens - it's not good for them. here is a recipe for making you own formula for them or you could go to petco/pet smart and buy some there (if you plan to continue to feed them). you can also try mixing some wet kitten food with a little bit of formula (or water if you have to) to soften it up. you might have to shove their noses in it, but if they're old enough they'll eat it.

petco/pet smart might also be able to point you in the right direction if all else fails.

the vet by my parent's house also does a lot of rescue. they can probably help you.
