So I have been taking Yasmin for about 2 years now and two weeks ago I messed up pretty bad and forgot to take 3 days worth of pills. I called the doctor and she told me to double up on the pills I missed. I am supposed to get my period on Monday/Tuesday now and my boobs have been killing me since Thursday. I am in so much pain! I am hoping that is because my body is overloaded from hormones. In addition I have a prolactonoma which causes me to have high prolactin (hormone that makes you produce milk) normally. Has anyone has this happen to them? I am just hoping it is a hormonal imbalance rather than an ealry wedding present! AAAH! Oh and also as soon as I realized I missed my pill FH and I have been using alt. methods.

Re: NWR - Birth Control
you should be ok as long as you doubled up on the pills and follow what your doctor said...and yes, your boobs hurt from the hormones!! you already have prolactonoma, and prolactin fluctuates normally during our cycles just as our fsh, lh, progesterone and estradiol do during the month...so no worries. If your really worried about the possibility of being pregnant whats the harm in picking up a quick test and doing it? No worries though, you should be fine. HTH

Re: NWR - Birth Control
i'm no doctor, but i believe the morning after bill is just a high dose birth control pill in essence. so, if you doubled up on the regular pill 3 days in a row after missing it, i'm gonna guess that you should be totally fine. also, using alternate methods was really smart - you are probably just getting boob pain from all the hormones like you said!

Did you let your gyn know you have prolactonoma ? If she does know and still told you to double up then it's ok. But if she didnt know it might be causin some kind of reaction. Give it a couple of days, it should stop.

You should be fine...it usually takes some time to get pregnant after being on the pill, so missing for 3 days shouldn't be too bad...my boobs usually hurt the the last 3 days of my pills before I get my period, so maybe it is just the hormones... go get a cheap test if you are stressing about it... but I wouldn't worry.
