NWR: Birthday Ideas for FH

So FH turns 30 in a few months and I am desperately trying to think of some cool way to surprise him with something fun WITHOUT throwing him a party (he would kill me)

I am at a loss though because I can't spend a fortune.

(oh and BTW- neither one of us drink- so going to a bar or club, etc is out..)

Any ideas?????

how about this? my fh gave this to me for my october birthday and we will be going in january. it's not a fortune if you research, you can do it for a couple hundred

Well what are some things he likes to do? I can suggest things based on what my DH likes but not sure if your DH would even like it.

Any hobbies he has or something he has been wanting to do for a while?

He loves to snowboard and camp. (But we will have just done the snowboarding and I dont want to camp in February..)

He also loves tattoos and has a ton of them

WOW thats funny bc one request dh made for his 30th bday which is also in february, is to go to LA and get a tattoo at LA ink, he wants that as a gift. Last year not for his bday though but when we went to miami i took him to miami ink and paid for his tattoo.

Does he need a new snowboard?

No..he def does not need a snowboard...he has like 4 of them...

I would love to get him a tattoo by one of the guys from Miami Ink...but the chance of that is prob slim to none..so...

let me say that they are WAAAY over priced its crazy. Most people who go in there trying to get a tattoo end up walking out bc of how much they charge. Their prices start at $250 and that is for VERY small tattoo's, like even if you get a little symbol its $250. One guy ahead of us had brought in a sketch and they told him $1800 it was big but at the same time i know he can get that for less than half at places in NYC or anywhere else period. DH's tattoo, we could've gotten also for half the price in NYC but no he had to have one by them lol. I just remember sitting there thinking how the last tattoo i got was bigger than the one he got there and was a decent amount less. Even his other tats, they're all alot bigger and were less. While we were there for 3 hours, only him and 1 girl got a tattoo, everyone else left. I would never get a tat from them myself

Would he want to go hang-gliding or something? Or i know they have those places where you can pretend like you're skydiving but it's in a wind tunnel. . . I had a friend who went and loved it but I can't remember where they are. . don't think it was tri-state so it would be bit of a drive..
