NWR: Borders versus Amazon [poll]

NWR: Borders versus Amazon [poll]

I'm now convinced it's only a matter of time before Amazon.com puts stores like Borders or B. Dalton out of business.

I got a 25% off coupon from Borders today and when I compared it to buying the same book from Amazon, Borders was still $5.00 higher. And I even qualified for free shipping.

Besides a last-minute purchase, I can't think of any reasons that a place like Borders is better than Amazon. Can you? Do you like going to the store better? Why?

And where do you get your books from?

I usually read all the reviews on amazon then buy them on half.com
Saves me a ton of money.

I like your polls just for the 'extra' stuff

My FH & I go to Borders a lot, we just like to browse and get magazines a lot. If I want a specific book or music I usually get it from whoever's cheaper Amazon or Barnes & Nobel

I refuse to buy from Borders anymore. Why would I pay $10 more for the same book and then have to pay tax on top of that. I love Amazon, it tells me what I want to read before I even know it.

I dont buy books from either of those places, I use Barnes and NOble because they have same day delivery and i noticed they are usually pretty cheap, especially if you have their membership card.
