NWR-Boston Weekend

Hey girls --

FH and I just planned a spontaneous weekend in Boston. Sort of a mini-vacation from Wedding planning.

We've never been there -- anyone have any suggestions of Must-Sees or Not-Worth-its?

Thanks!

I was thinking about driving up there too this weekend. Since there is a hurricane in FL, I doubt we are going to make it down there.

I live in Boston...here are some ideas...where are you staying?

Beacon Hill
Newbury Street
Copley
Duck tours
Fanieul hall/qunicy market...kind of touristy, but good if you have never been
North end- great italian food.

Let me know if you want more info, you can FM me if you want other ideas...I hope this helps.

Cool! FH had enough points from business trips for a suite at the Comfort Inn in Woburn -- we were told its only 10 minutes north of Boston.

Someone was telling us those Duck Tours are pretty cool. We are also AVID Cirque du Soleil fans and even though we already saw Varekai, we were thinking of going again since its there.

We're also big Lord of the Ring fans, and there is an exhibit at the Museum of Science.

Can you recommend someplace nice -- but casual dress -- for dinner? Maybe something for Sunday brunch?

We don't mind cheesy touristy spots if they are worth the visit.

Thanks for the help!

We are going this weekend too!!! We are staying in the financial district right by the north end at the marriot.

My DH and I go often (his best friend lives there and my SIL is in Medical school there) but I would also recomend Cambridge...I love it there....nice to walk around on a nice day.

Go to brunch on Newbury St. there are tons of places up down the street....I have been to a few and all have been great!

Have a good trip and maybe we'll bump into eachother

Re: NWR-Boston Weekend

The best place for brunch on Newbury st is Stephanie's

A good place for dinner that you can sit outside is Mcormick and Schmitts in Quincy market (Fenuil hall and quincy market are the same place

Zuma's is good for Mexican and Margaritas (Fenuil hall) but no outsode seeting

Duck tours - are fun - a good way to see the whole city- either book online or early int he morning because they do sell out - can buy at quincy market and science center - they even leave from science center now too

need anymore advice i live in downtown and know lots of different spots

FH & I go about every 6 months for short weekend stays. We stay at the Omni Parker House, awesome hotel. The drive is ~4 hr from LI.
Harbor cruises are nice, the Market, Theater district (we saw Mama Mia), Finlines Basement for shopping (great bargins), Fenway Park (baseball), Duck tours (Fun), Swan Padal boats in the park, Comdey club, North End 'Little Italy'. You will have a blast! Enjoy
