I want to go see a play for my b-day, but not sure which one to go to. I want to go see one of the following, but don't know how to choose
Has anyone seen either of these play? Feedback would be great!
Mama Mia Hairspray
TIA.....

Re: NWR: broadway play
Ive seen ALOT of plays but haven't seen those two. Want to suggest an off broadway play 'i love you, you're perfect now change' it is histerical. And another one i love and its funny bc i never cared to see it but i finally went and was one of my favorites and it was les miserables...they had taken it off but someone posted on here that IT WAS coming back on broadway but by the other shows you want to see not sure if this is the type of play you are looking for.
However, consider 'i love you you're perfect now change'

I didn't see Hairspray but Mamma Mia was so much fun! Loved it. I took my mom for her birthday a few years ago and she loved it too.

I saw both with FH and we liked both of them!
Don't fret - choose one this year and the other for another upcoming occasion!

Mamma Mia was good! Les Mis is my all time favorite and avenue Q is pretty good for a laugh.

I've never seen Mamma Mia..but watched Hairspray recently and thought it was ok..a little slow at times and the understudy for the main role was off-key at some points...
I looooved avenue q (even though i saw it with my parents )...Les Miserables is one of my all-time favorites too!!!!

Thanks girls....I think I may decide to see Mama Mia this time and then go from these.
I keep knocking plays off my list and then more come to broadway....like can't wait for Grease and The Little Mermaid to come.
I love a good night at the theater!!!!!!!!!

me too! i desperately want to take FH to see Les Mis...but he never has time. my brother and i loved it and always sing parts of it to each other whenever we're together...when my brother was really little he used to listen to the soundtrack all the time and sing 'master of the house'

if you're interested in the breaking the barriers or civil rights movement, you'll love Hairspray, it's very entertaining and hilarious.....If you're an ABBA fan, then you'll love Mamma Mia...either way, they're both good. I'm going to see Phanthom next month.

Re: NWR: broadway play
Hairspray is truly one of the best shows out there!! Go see it!!! I MUCH prefered it to Mamma Mia...much better story and all around show in my opinion. Mamma Mia is just fun for the songs and that's about it IMHO.
