I use the broiler all the time to cook steak, chicken cutlet, and sausages in the oven - comes out good and doesn't overcook...

I do the same, especially in the winter when I can't use the bbq for steaks

You can broil just about anything........it generally cooks faster because the meat is closer to the heat source. I usually won't put steak under the broiler, but I have a few chicken and pork chop recipes that require broiling and they come out great.

welll Broiler is a setting on the over like the highest setting. Make sure that your shelf is moved to like the highest position. I've made that mistake and it took like 10 times longer to cook bc it was on broil and I had it in the middle . ahh i learned my lesson.

Just so u know - you can only use the broiler pan to broil - One of us broiled something in a baking dish by mistake and it now has a big crack in it

I use the broiler to do hamburgers too....5-6 minutes on each side until it looks done.
