NWR: But finally I am going to get
contacts. I was suppose to go in August and then it got pushed back to September. Can not procrastinate any longer. Keeping my fingers crossed all goes well. Just trying to figure out how they are going to explain to me how to put a contact in my eye and successfully do it. FH is going to love this one. Lol

It's really easy. I've been wearing contacts since I was 15. Just make sure the contact goes into your eye the correct side (edges should be perfectly circular not folded out) then it just sort of clings to the eye. Just blink a couple of times and it adjusts itself. Goodluck

Hahahahaha! My FH said to me just don't wear them for the ceremony and put them on at the reception. I told him I would like to see our guests at our wedding and see him when I walk down the aisle. Heck I actually want to be able to see our wedding. Lol. Excited and anxious about getting them and just want to make sure I don't have any problems with them. Putting them on and taking them out of my eyeball. Smh!

So happy to hear that you don't feel them in your eye. I love my glasses and feel so naked without them as strange as that may seem. I wear them to see far so I don't wear them all the time however kinda got use to wearing them if ya know what I mean. So now I am not wearing them as much so I can get use to not having glasses on.

My daughter is 15 and she has had them since 13 and she was taught by the contacts specialist at davis vision. Just don't shower or sleep in them. always carry a spare(especially on your wedding day) one time my daughters fell out at school ,that was a problem. lol also she has the ones you replace every 14 days.

Will definitely have an extra pair with me the day of our wedding. I just wish I could go now and get it over with. I kept putting it off and now I am down to the wire. Nail biting!!!!! Lol

I started wearing contacts at 12 and 3 years ago I had lasik surgery with Dr. Dello Russo and couldn't be happier with my decision.

Re: NWR: But finally I am going to get
It's really trial and error and being calm, it'll become second nature after a few tries. I've been wearing contacts for 10+ years and when I get fitted for a different brand I still can't get them in my eye in front of the Dr. lol

I used to BE the contact lens assistant at Davis Vision! LOL! But that was a looong time ago. The best advice I can give you as someone who used to teach everyone from kids to old ladies is, RELAX. And don't get frustrated if it's not going well at first. Practice makes perfect. And if they're not comfortable, tell the dr. Don't just assume they'll get better. There's TONS of options out there, and you and your dr will find what's right for you. Good luck!!

Re: NWR: But finally I am going to get
I've been wearing them for almost 20 years. I know a lot of people are terrified of sticking things in their eyes. I find that looking up and kind of putting them on the whites of your eyes makes it easier. It floats right over and you don't feel like you are poking your eye.

I have glasses and contacts but only wear the contacts for weekends and special occasions. I can't wear them all the time. You should start wearing them for a couple hours here and there to get used to them. Good luck!

I heard this as well to allow my eyes to get use to wearing contacts. (3-4 hours a day) Both FIL's wear glasses and were not fans of contacts. Fan or no fan I need them for the big day :)
