NWR but important for any and every woman!

Hi all

so a friend of mine who is 31 was diagnosed with rapid onset cervical cancer after being almost virtually asymptomatic. she goes in for surgery tomorrow and hopefully they can remove it but there is a 40% chance it has spread. january is also cervical cancer awareness month so if anyone wants to wear teal and white (the cervical cancer colors) tomorrow that would be so great, just to bring awareness to this issue. and don't forget to go for your pap smears as much as we hate them, and see your doctor if you think ANYTHING is hinky. she told her doctor for MONTHS something was weird (she was bleeding after sex) and was misdiagnosed THREE times before it was caught. just wanted to bring some awareness!!!

I have to go for my exams a few times a year...to make sure the cells don't come back. I had a very similar scare, though lucky enough to catch it in time.

I hope everything with your friend turns out well!

This scares me. I've been bleeding after sex for a year now. It's always like a few days before my I get my period. My dr did tests and said it's nothing to worry about, but hearing this makes me want to get a second opinion. I get paps every 6 months. I had two irregular paps a while back, but it's been clear for about a year now. I'm scared though..
