I felt the same way two months ago. I had fallen off my bike when I was a kid and cracked my front teeth. The bonding got discolored over the years from smoking and drinking coffee but I was afraid of the dentist, the pain and the cost.

Then my friend told me about her dentist. I made an appointment and he told me I needed to have a cleaning, get one filling replaced (in a back tooth; it fell out years ago), and three porcelin crowns put on my front teeth and the one right next to it.

I got it all done in 4 weeks, 3 appointments. I can't begin to describe what a wonderful thing it is to smile without worrying what people think about your teeth! Or to smile without keeping your mouth closed!

And the color was important, because they have to match my existing teeth. I actually went to the lab and they matched them perfectly. I'm my biggest critic (of course) so by me saying that you could never tell the difference between the real teeth and the crowns, believe me, it's true!

And the dentist was so gentle and patient and friendly. I paid him in three installments (cosmetics aren't covered by my insurance) and unlike most of the other wedding preparations, this is something that's going to last a lot longer than one day!
