nwr: buying a home

anyone here in a realtor or know about purchasing a new home? DH and I are thinking that we may want to start to look being the mortgage rates are so low but we also know there are a ton of other fees and monthly expenses we need to take into consideration....but we dont know what those costs are and if it is something we can manage right now.
i would love to hear from anyone that can help...or do you ladies think we should find a realtor and speak with them...if so can you ladies recommend a realtor??? we prefer queens or nassau
