i've always had cablevision, and honestly... i hate them! BUT FH and I are used to cablevision (optimum) and all its features... and we've heard mixed reviews on verizon.
SO... please vote on your choice.
ALSO, does anyone know the INSTALLATION charges for them??

*crashing* Did you check and see that they're available? I totally wanted to switch but we found out that the town of Brookhaven won't allow verizon to come in and build lines. Cablevision just totally sucks and anything could be better! Our DVR box is insanely slow, it gets so frustrating to use the guide, and we even got a new box. It's just them.

we can have either one.
FH kinda wants verizon because he thinks their cheaper.. but I don't want to be in a contract.. we've both ALWAYS had optimum...
i have to compare prices.. but I wanted some feedback too.

THE ONLY reason we still have cable is because we like our sports in HD.
Otherwise we'd sooooo be with fios.
Our internet cuts out all the time, sometimes, the phone doesn't work and my DVR has been sucking lately and not recording things when I did schedule them.

for fios, you can do all the pricing online before you commit. the deals they have are pretty good
also, i just signed up and they have a refer-a-friend promo. where if i refer you i get $100...and YOU get $100 too!!
