Hey there! I'm Laura and I'm getting married in October. I live in Laguna Niguel, still adjusting to the O.C. after two years in LA!

Hi I'm Bee, and I live in Rowland Heights which is beside Diamond Bar, Pomona, and Brea.

Getting married March 2005!

Are you guys getting married in the city or out of the city?

Hi, Bee!

I'm getting married in Brooklyn, even though I always lived in Manhattan. Brooklyn was already too expensive! I just couldn't afford the city.

Where are you looking?

Where are you guys from on LI? I grew up in Farmingville, out in Suffolk.

Seriously. What is up with this weather? I feel like I haven't seen the sun in a month!

I grew up in Bellport- it's in Suffolk, right next to Patchogue.

This weather is not fun!!!

I live at the beach and it's ALWAYS cloudy these days!!

But it looks like it's trying to get sunny now....

Pray for sun!!!

I have the same 'deal' I grew up on Long Island in Ridge and my FI is from Los Angeles.

It's so funny too b/c I made a bet with a friend out here that I would end up marrying a newyawker. I'm happy to lose that bet...LOL I got a wonderful guy.

I love bringing him back to LI with me its a bit of a shock..

I always thought that I would marry a NY'r too, but guess I was wrong.

Then again, my FI grew up in 'the valley' and I can ASSURE you that he never thought that he'd be marrying a New Yorker...

I know Bellport! One of my best friends went to Bellport High School. (I went to Sachem)

I'm still marrying a newyawka, though. I dragged him out here with me.

Really? No one ever knows where Bellport is...

Who was your friend? What year did you graduate?

Oh, I'm old. I probably graduated a decade before you! My friend is Peggy Maher, class of '87. I was always jealous of her, because Bellport is so pretty.

FH and I haven't decided if we're Californians yet. We've been here 3 years. It's still kinda weird to us--harder to make friends than it was in NYC. Don't know if we'll go back to NY or not.

We had a really hard time making friends out here also. We just started having friends over regularly about 6 months ago but now we are moving.

I agree about the friend thing. We spend a lot of time with FI's friends from high school. It's crazy to me that 10 years out of high school they all still talk. They're fun, but sometime I want our own friends. It's a lot harder to make friends than it used to be...
