Our current policy is going to expire & I am looking into a new insurance company.
What company do you have? How much do you pay? What year is your car?(I know that makes a big difference) If you don't mind sharing, what are your limits & what is your deductible?
TIA

Re: NWR: car insurance
We have Allstate, my parents have had is since they first got married, and we get big deductions since my parents have the house and all the other things on the policy as well.
I pay 1200 (around there) a year for my car now, which is a 2001 Honda Accord coupe with full collision and liability. I actually just left a message for him to let me know how much my new car will be, so I can FM you if you would like that figure as well.
He is actually based in Brooklyn (I know you are too)
I have State Farm. I have a 2005 toyota corolla and I pay $153 per month.. Keep in mind my defensive driving course expired so once I take that again my premiums will be lower.
I can't remember limits but my deductible is $500.

Geico is great, but TSC direct is lower. I couldn't get TSC yet because I got a speeding ticket a little less than 3 years ago, but once the three year mark passes, I'm switching.

Re: NWR: car insurance
Just checked my account online..I have GEICO and love them.
I pay $ 614 every 6 months ($1230/year) and I drive a 2008 Honda Civic. I have a 100/300 Policy and a $ 200 Basic Deductible; Supplemental UM coverage for 100/300, rental coverage for $50/day, Glass coverage, and a $ 500 collision deductible.
Not bad considering I had 2 speeding tx on my record and other moving violations on it (which should drop by end of this year).

Re: NWR: car insurance
Christine,
can't reply to your FM from here but I will check the paperwork when we get home....I believe (i may be mistaken) that we have 100/300 but I could be wrong....
the car I called for is a 2010 4 door EXL accord....also mentioned the 2010 2.5SL altima.....I always have had full coverage and we do take the defensive driving, which brings it down a bit....
I will FM you tonight with details!!
We use Mike Mullen of Allstate in Brooklyn.....

Re: NWR: car insurance
Why is mine so much higher then you girls and I have Geico? I have no tickets and no accidents, except for when I got rear-ended, and an economy size car

It could be based on where you live. I know my insurance dropped in 1/2 when I moved from Queens to Nassau County.
