I KNOW you girls can help me out on this one!!!! (Cause you're all the BEST!)
I'm putting together a last-minute birthday party for myself Saturday. I sent emails out to about 30-35 people. On the invite, I said that I understood it was last minute, so no worries if you can't attend, BUT the only thing I ask is if you can make it, to let me know so I can be sure I have enough food for everyone.
So far 21 people have told me that they are coming (3 have even said they are stopping by on their way home from something else, so don't worry about feeding them). With only 3 people telling me they can't make it.
Is it wrong of me to just order food for the 21 people who said they are coming and assume that the people who haven't given me an answer either way aren't coming?

Re: NWR--catering a party
just to be on the safe side i would order for 25-30 ppl. Because some ppl eat two plates and not only that the ppl that will stop by will eat as well and then leave. (believe me that has happen to me). Have a great b-day and great party!!!!!!

You always want to order more than enough food. If 21 are attending (including those coming from somewhere else and don't forget about you and FH) Order food for 30 people. Buy those glad containers and send people home with leftovers if any.

I would order for at least 25 ppl because when you get catering for 20 it's never enough food for 20

Ok Ladies...I took your words to heart!!
With 20 definite yes's 3 'We'll stop by after dinner so don't worry about feeding us....' And another 10 or so unaccounted for...
I ordered a Mexican fajita bar set up for 30 people.
I'll probably make a big garden salad too as well.
THANKS!

I think that's perfect, you may not even have leftovers depending on how big eaters your guests are
