NWR Catholic HS

Any suggestions in Nassau or Western Suffolk. My daughter is applying and she likes St. Anthony's and St. Dominic. Please any inoput would be great. I grew up in Queens and only know High Schools in Queens!!

My best friend whom I met in college went to St. Anthonys (on full scholarship) and it has changed my opinion of it over the years. She really liked it and said it was a good school.

I went to St. John the Baptist in West Islip. I thought it was a good school. You should definitely check it out

She really wanted to check it out but we live in East Meadow in Nassau so I told it was too far. She would have to be up at 5am to get a bus.

I initially went to Mercy HS in Riverhead my freshman year. It was okay, but I needed a little more challenge.

I took the chance and went to St Anthony's for my sophmore to senior year. I never regretted making the switch.

I liked the school and genuinely liked a lot of the people I went to school with.

It's a great college prepatory school in my opinion. I took a few college classes which counted when I went to college (some colleges may not take the credit) and it helped put me a semester ahead in college. Which then helped me take a semester off to do the Disney World College Program.

Overall I think it's a great school and it would be a great choice!

I went to St. Anthony's & so did my brother & sister. We absolutely loved it! Now it supposedly looks like a college with all it's renovations but I haven't been there in years. But I just wanted to say I was very happy & truly enjoyed my High School experience there :) Good Luck!

I went to St. Anthony's and loved it!!!!! I was super prepared for college and had great experiences!

Thanks girls I'm pushing for St. Anthonys. I have heard nothing but good things about it and we were there a few months ago for a Cheerleading Showcase. She is making me CRAZY changing her mind the every other day. I think she is watching too much Gossip Girl cause she has me looking up private schools in Manhattan!!

Thank you for this post I am going to show it to her> I have been trying to convince her OLMA is the way to go because she is WAYYYY to boy crazy. Open House is today. I'll let you know how it goes!

Kellenberg is close to EM or even Holy Trinity

I went to Holy Trinity for a year. I thought the education was great -- however I didnt like how big the school was. I have heard nothing but great things about Kellenberg and St Anthonys

i am not from LI, but i went to an all-girls catholic school in brooklyn and i loved it. two of my bridesmaids i went to HS with. it was a great experience and i would definately recommend it!
