Mini vent.... Just a month ago I needed all new tires, $750 later. Yesterday, everytime I hit my breaks it sounded like something was dragging on the road so I brought my truck in today. They had to cut down the rotors, give me new break pads in the front and back and then charged me 225 for 2 hours of labor so all together $563 I'm so sick of putting out alllll this money
ETA: OMG I totally lied hahaha, u guys had me thinking like wait was it 1700? then I check the bill and it was in the 7's but I had to get some more work done at the time also so the price was a little higher but def. not 1700, lol sorry i'm delusional and soo not a car person obviously.

I HATE maintianing my car. I'd have died if someone told me my tires were gonna be $1700.

just curious but how did tires run you $1700?
i have special tires on my car that are $$$$ and i'm not even close to that

i know the feeling. it sux. right before xmas my car was making a weird noise, the check engine light went on, so i brought it to the mechanics. they fixed it (i don't remember what was wrong with it), that was $500. then right after xmas the car wouldn't get warm and the temp gauge was going crazy - brought it to the mechanic and they said it was the head gasket (which apparently hardly ever goes on a honda, but of course it happened to mine) and $1800 later it was fixed. i am so mad at my car because of all the $ i put into it, it's only a 2005.

Yea I work nights (I'm a nurse) so I have to drive in whatever weather is out there. So I didn't want to get the cheap tires. Out of all the ones that they offered me my dad and the mechanic guy told me that those would be the best for me.
ETa: Edited my post above....realized that I was soo off with my price haha sory! Bet u guys thought that I had magic tires put on my truck lol.

I just got an oil change and rotated my tires. The light is on that indicates there's not enough air. My FH took it to fill them up and he said they are fine and the light should go off soon...That was 2 weeks go...so maybe i do only drive a mile a day but still it should have gone off by now!
I just feel like every time I try to do the right thing by my car something else goes wrong and i feel i should l have left well enough alone!
