NWR: Christmas trees!!!!

When is everyone getting theirs!? I'm sooooooo excited....I want to get it this weekend but FH thinks it's too soon and will die before Christmas!

we get ours from either Home Depot, Lowes or the Volunteer Fire Dept tree sale thingy in Westbury!!!!!

Next year will be our first Christmas together (living together I mean)... I can't wait! We can't get a real tree though because FH is allergic

This weekend - but I'm just getting a small table-top one that FH and I can plant after the holiday.

I have a big artificial tree, but my cousin is staying with me for Christmas and it's either the tree or the Aerobed in the living room...can't be both!

Small tree it is this year. I'm psyched for the smell of real pine!!

awww, that stinks! If you love the smell, FH and I bought a Yankee candle (balsam and something else) and it smells EXACTLY like Christmas trees!!!!!!

We have a fake tree. I think I'll see if FH wants to put it up this weekend, or maybe next.

Can he be around pine-scented candles? (Sorry if that's a stupid question!) I've had an artificial tree the past few years and use the Bath & Body Works pine candle for the scent...it's amazing!

We'll get a 3' fake one for FSD's room....nooooooo tree in our main house. We're going to Ohio for Christmas and I'd feel really uncomfortable living in a house with a Christmas tree...at least having it in FSD's room isn't as bad.

when i was a kid we would be upstate, NY at my parents house the weekend of Thanksgiving & we would go to a tree farm a cut a tree down & bring it home with us. it would sit in the yard for i think like 2 weeks. so i am always annoying FH to get the tree.

FH makes me wait until the week before Christmas to get the tree. i hate having to wait & then we have to wait to decorate it. its a whole lot of waiting. arg. then its finally up & i love it

We have a fake tree. My grandfather, who was a fireman, refused to get a real tree because he considered them a fire hazard. I don't think they are anymore of a fire hazard than a fake one but because of that, I grew up with fake trees.

We put it up the weekend after Thanksgiving. Can't wait!!

Till i was like 15 we had a fake tree... i will always have a real tree, when i have the room....

unless you let it dry out, i cant see why its more of a fire hazard either! LOL

i'm still trying to convince fh to get one. we're both jewish, but i grew up always having a christmas tree....we've lived together for four years and i have yet to convince him.....but i think this year it's gonna happen not sure when yet, though.

we dont live together yet BUT in my house, we put it up usually the first weekend of December....try not to do it earlier since we get a real one and we dont want them to dry out by xmas!
