NWR: COPS/POLICE/WTVR

I know some of you have FH's in the police.. or some of you may have family members etc.

My friend recently told me that cops are not allowed to have facebooks?

Is this true or is she just full of sh*t?

my fiance's a cop and he has fb.. he just doesn't post anything job related.

and just the way she said it pisssed me off lol

i think when they are in the academy they try and scare them and tell them a whole lot of BS. but then they get over it when they graduate

i think they def need to watch what they post, but saying they'll get fired is pushing it.

there was a cop in FH's precinct that talked shtt on his fb status about the other cops and one of the bosses found it, printed it out and reamed him out in front of everyone.

I believe my fh said they tell u not to or to be careful if you have anything like faceboo. My fh doesnt have 1.

You are allowed to have facebook. A lot of cops do, but its not a good idea to put anything that can be used against you on there.

My husband (ahhh i cannot believe i'm writing that) is a cop and he has a facebook but he has a fake name, doesnt have his last name listed, and his whole profile is private! cuz you really arent suppose to!

yeah i know 3 cops who have FB

they all have 'the thin blue line' as the profile pic
which is a dead give away that they are cops

but yeah, as long as they dont share 'news'
they are kosher

My bro is a cop and he has fb but he cannot nor can a y of us post pics of him in uniform..when your in training for Nassau and Suffolk they do a check and some people just close their acct until they make it in.. HTH
