Re: NWR Craigslist
FH is on craigslist all the time, both buying and selling and he said that's definitely a scam.
He said: 'its a fake check, bank will release funds in 2-3 days, but it will actually come back unpaid 2 weeks after you've paid him and then you have a negative balance and you owe the bank the money.'
I remember something like this from when we were selling a few things on Craigslist... Everything worked out fine, but we had communication with them via e-mail and phone... so we knew they were real people. They did come to the house (and into the house), but it ended up fine. I get nervous with this stuff, too... If someone or something seems fishy, it probably is, or at the very least, NOT WORTH THE RISK!!!!
Good Luck

Re: NWR Craigslist
look at the wording itself to see its a scam....
he will intimate you with the tracking number
why does he need your full name...??? and why would you be meeting him at a PO Box????

FH says not to use paypal on craigslist because it can be too shady. You should really do cash only. Good Luck!

Re: NWR Craigslist
DEFINITELY A SCAM, don't go ANY further with this person. Trust me. I have sold things on craigslist, that type of wording is 100% a scam, I got almost identical emails from all kinds of 'people' on every item I've ever put up there. Anytime there are 'reputable movers' and waiting for checks to clear and all that nonsense, just walk away, don't have any more to do with them. And forward it to craiglist because I'm sure they are replying to lots of other ads too.

Re: NWR Craigslist
I don't think it sounds legit. I've sold furniture on there and accepted cash only and they had to come pick it up.

Re: NWR Craigslist
definately a scam what you deposit the money order into your account which most likely stolen or invalid. The money order clears to your account in 3 days but it actually take a little longer before the fed clears. You deliver the good and within 10 days you will see the money order is no good.
