I know you are able to get a free report each year. Which company do you use?

FH and I need to get our finances in order, figure out which credit cards to combine and which one's to stop using (not cancel).

if you have a discover card, you can sign up for a 30 day 'trial' and get it all for free- just remember to cancel it! you can do this 1x per year

annualcreditreport.com is the only one that is actually free credit reports. It is backed by the FTC http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0155-free-credit-reports

The rest will try to charge you a monthly fee if you don't cancel them immediately and may sell your information.

I use freecreditreport.com, but pay for it monthly since I'm working hard to build my credit. I THINK if you cancel before a certain time, they won't charge your account.
