AHHH I HATE Bugs!!!! So, we moved into our apartment on Saturday, and so far I have found a cricket in our bathroom once a day....I also found a few spiders, but I figured those have been living here a while...I sprayed with bug killer and vacuumed again, and now I keep the door closed all the time so they don't come in through the screen. Is there anything else I can do since it is a basement apartment? Thanks for your help!
I read it....I guess since it's the summer, they feel free to invade our habitats!!!! These bugs should be paying rent!
Can they exterminate crickets since they are all over outside?

Yes. They can spray the perimeter of the house and get them BEFORE they come in.
UGH I am right there with you on this!

Re: NWR Cricket problem!
I suggest getting a cute little kitty cat! In my old apartment, my downstairs neighbor had lizards and used to order live crickets by the hundreds. Needless to say, some escaped and made their way into my apartment. My cat came in very handy! She killed them all!!!

I despise bugs. I can't stand when people catch them and bring them outside so they can just mosey on in again!!!! My FI said I am becoming immune to them. I am actually killing them, when normally I would be running around screaming for him to do it!!! At least crickets and your flies are not the WORST bugs. I cannot stand earwigs, or worse, bed bugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My worst nightmare!!!

Did you hear about the cats they are now 'making'? They are genetically engineered and are hypoalergenic... great for people with allergies! I am sure while planning your wedding you have a spare $7000 laying around to get one!!! But seriously, sorry to hear about the bugs.. I would talk to the landlord!

You don't need to pay an exterminator hundreds of dollars to spray noxious chemicals around your house.
Go to the supermarket and buy pre-baited mouse glue traps. Put them underneath your baseboard heater or any sheltered location from light. Put them where you see them - usually close to the walls.
Crickets are cannibals and if one is in trouble, the others will know it and come out of hiding to find it. You will get all of them and prevent them from raising their families in your house.
Trust me on this. We get crickets during fall every year. They try to get in out of the cold. As soon as we see the first one, we put glue traps down and replace them as necessary. Good luck with the bastards, I HATE them.
