I'm going to be humiliated when nobody replies to this post, knowing I'm the only freak ....
Have you ever wished you could like, run away?
Start a new life some place else? New job, new friends, new places, new inexpensive condo/house far from the tristate area?
I keep having fantasies that I run off to Colorado and do all that - but FH can never leave his job.

OMG Yes! You are definitely not a freak! I want to just run away with FH all the time....and just forget about family, school, and work for a while...probably a LONG while!

I definitely feel this way sometimes. It can be overwhelming with money, and work, and worrying about where I plan on living. Sometimes I really envy people that can just get up and move, and leave their families. I don't think I could ever be happy without my family around me. Life is hard sometimes.
It is great that you are going to speak to somebody. I think everyone at some point or another in their life should meet with a counselor. You are doing the right thing! Good luck!
