nwr: do you girls use bullets on your resume?

I originally had bullets on mine to point out each responsibility but one of my co-workers told me that they look 'immature' ..whatever that means

As someone who has interviewed people before, I've always expected bullets on the resumes that I've received. It's the standard because it makes the resume easier to scan. No one reads every resume they get, they look for key points about the candidate that separate them from the others. Bullets make it easier for the interviewer to locate & read these traits, points & accomplishments. If I didn't see some form of a bullet, I'd probably trash the resume without giving it a second glance, but that's just me. I would recommend going with your gut & sticking with the bullets. Good luck with your job search!!

I have just been told by head hunters that they look for bullets. It is the best way to organize your information. NO one reads a entire blob of info they like to see points.

immature?! she's so wrong....

i worked in human resources for a few years at a law firm and when i read a resume where each job description was in paragraph format, it would be such a drag to read it....i just recently editted my friend's resume and added bullets, you can't go wrong! GL!!

As someone who interviews people on a regular basis and looks over 1000 resumes a day.. I won't even look at a resume that does not have bullets!!

I have never heard of that before!! Bullets are what organizes the resume, make its look much neater and easier to read
