Call me paranoid, but I've had life insurance since i was 18. DH feels he's too young to worry about that (mind you he's 29 y/o). I think now that we're married and talking about kids and a house he should definitely purchase some.
Do you and your DH's/FH's have life insurance? If so, what do you pay per month?

we will be getting life insurance when i get pregnant with my first baby
before that - no one really depends on us so we couldnt really justify the added expense
Not only do I have life insurance, and tons of it, I also have my burial plot. It's for two so I always joke around with FH that i'm on top!
Since FIL just passed away so unexpectedly and so young, I would like to start making burial arrangements very soon.
I have it at Pinelawn Gardens. The sooner you get it the less it will cost you. My plot was 6K and I pay $50.00 a month. Should you fall on financial hard times then you can put a hold on it and resume payments when you are ready. However, I wouldn't get a plot unless I had life insurance. God forbid anything happened while I was still paying off the plot my life insurance would be able to pay it off. You can get life insurance through your job, credit cards, auto insurance...just make sure they are a reputible place.

We both have life insurance. So we are set for that.
Thank you for the information on Pinelawn Gardens. I will look into it. I think we would like to include my FIL ashes into our plot.

Well, we are looking into it now that we own a house. We are probably going to get 20 year term life insurance though. The other one I hear is too much money and not worth it.

i have life insurance - my father started my policy when I was 15 or so - he was in his early 40s when he went to get life insurance and was denied bc he was diabetic - he ended up passing away from cancer without any insurance - its was very hard on us not only emoitonally but financially as well.
I say get it while you are young - its cheaper (my policy is only $200 in premiums a year)

i have it, but not really... i got it in my senior year of hs so i could be eligible for a scholarship and it was only 16 bucks. i don't know what it includes or anything. my parents kinda did that all for me. heh, i don't even know if i still have it.

I have life insurance and so does my husband. I actually got melanoma last summer, so I was so thankful I did have it before that because I may not have been eligible. We actually do life insurance as part of our business, if you're interesed, FM me and I can give you some quotes.
