NWR: do you still shop at...

teenie-bopper stores, like Forever 21? I was at the mall today and felt like I was the oldest one in there (i am 27). I don't buy much stuff there...definitely not work clothes... but I've def found some cute tops and even jeans there, and also at Charlotte Rousse... just wondering if I'm the only one still shopping like i'm 19

oh definitely, i dont think of them as teeny bopper though - i think more of like Mandees or G&G for teen stores. . . but yeah i shop at all those stores with the expectation that they will barely last a season LOL

well i never shopped at forever 21 bc the clothes never fit me right for some reason haha. But yeah some stores i guess you can categorize as teeny booper haha. But i dress up and dress down too, so some stores i go to are more for adults and others might not be.

I LOOOVE bloomies, since i was 13 i always shopped there. It helped that it was about 10 mins away from me so many times it was the easiest since it was close. And they do take everything back which is great.

Another thing i dont like about forever 21 are the lines for the dressing room. Ive gone in the store with friends, and one time there were a pair of pants i wanted to try on. When i saw the line i said forget it, im not waiting on this insane line. I have no patience.

bloomingdales is the best with returns!

i still shop at forever 21 for going out dresses (i love those really soft cotton ones) and trendier stuff that i wont need long term

Re: NWR: do you still shop at...

their leggings are great.. the cotton ones.. 4.50 each! .. i literally bout bout 25 of them.. of course a handful of them had holes in the crotch..

a few weeks ago i went ot the 1 in queens center..and this chck was like fixing up a section..but isaw something i liked so i went ot look at it..and she literally spread her arms over the rack 'u cant look at these i just fixed it' i gigled thinking she was joking 'haha yea ok..'

shes like'no im serious we're closing in 30 min ' im like excactly..ur still open, im not an animal i wont mess up ur lil section'

shes like r u sure?

im like ':CLEARLY I HAVE MORE CLASS THAN U'.. i was ready to punch her in the face,..then i remembered..this girl is making 5$ an hour....life must s**ck...so when she walked away itook a bunch of shirts in that section off the hangers...

mwahahahahah..

i find myself doing that a lot at forever 21.. esp when they yell at me for tryin on shirts outside the fitting room..they yell at me like im a pos..clearly they arent busy enuff to sit and worry about what im doing..so they will spend another hour fixing up my mess..im such a bish

I went into a forever 21 store a few months ago because girls on here have said they have found some cute, cheap things in there. Well the store was SUCH A MESS I couldn't stand it - I hate looking for something in a mess. Not to mention that nothing in that store looking like it would fit me at all, and I consider myself pretty slim. I think it's meant for 18 yo's or very tiny tiny people.

their stuff DOES run very small, because it's targeted at teenagers and college students.. at least I think so. The only place that's worse is Hollister -- haven't been back there in years, the lines were always so long and the sizes were tiny

oh god yes the lines are bad there too. However, Dh always buys hollister stuff bc it has the number 22 on the shirts and other stuff lol, so even though i dont buy anything from there, i deal with the lines when i go with him. You cant even walk through the store its so crowded.

with forever 21, it wasnt just about the sizes but how they were made. I remember trying a shirt on and if its loose all around it would've been ok, but it was tight on my chest and loose on my stomach which i deal with but then the shirt didnt sit straight, it started going a bit sideways, not sure if that made sense

Hey, if you've got the body for it, do it!
I can't shop at those stores anymore considering my THIGH is about the same as most of the waist sizes

Re: NWR: do you still shop at...

i wish i never shopped in those stores to begin with except for when I was 24 and at my thinnest and even then their top size was 12! I wish I could step into one of those shops and pick up a size 14 in anything because at 29 I would gladly wear it.

As long as your not wearing a min with out leggings or baby tee at 30 i think your fine.

oh yeah, the quality is awful. the seams unravel so quickly and the cuts can be weird. the difference between a tshirt from forever 21 and the gap is night and day. i used to shop there a lot more, but my new fav store is the limited -- they have a lot of great sales and cute things that are better suited for work/law school/being in my 20s.

i do have some cute dresses from forever 21 though, so i go back every once in a while.

stuff kinda like this:

(i have the last dress in black)

You mean like Abercrombie where the only people that fit into their clothes are the people from the new 90210? No, I don't shop there anymore.
