My Dad was talking about his time in the Peace Corps. He lived with this family in Costa Rica for over a year and he talks about them every so often.
There's talk of a Peace Corps reunion in Costa Rica for his group. I was like, 'Dad, you can go visit the family you lived with!' He's like, 'Becca, the parents are probably dead! I was 23 when I lived with them and they were in their 40s/50s. I'm 66 now. There's a slight possibility they're still alive, but it's not likely.' And then he laughs at me! Ohh Dad
It's so weird, I still think of my Dad as being in his early/mid 40s. Do any of you ever have parent-age shock like me? I know it's kinda weird!

My mom is only 40 and my dad is 43. So i have a really hard time thinking of them as old!

Yes I do. All the time. I hate hearing about how they are getting too old to do things. Its so depressing.

no, i think of my parents as older. they are both retired, both dont drink and dont like eating dinner too late. so that means old to me. lol

ehhhhhh i mean, each bday my dad tells people hes 35. I used to but now that they are grandparents, i consider them old lol

I still think of my parents as young......... they aged very well so its hard to say they look old.

No- I will always think of my mother as an old lady-, although Im now older than she was when she had me and she waited till 25 Now my Aunt I can believe shes has gotten old she was the cool young aunt- now shes like 50ish ***
too funny on how we think the same, because our Aunt will never actually be old
