Re: NWR- does anyone else notice
Oh and seeing by the numbers that there are over 13000 users right now, that could slow things up just a bit. Is that thing right? Are there really that many of us??

I dont think a human screens them... i think the computer automatically senses certain words and replaces them with *** if they are on the naughty list!!

Re: NWR- does anyone else notice
yes the boards do get slow - not to be a know-it-all, but if it says 13,000 users, that is usually an error on liw's part. and sometimes my comupter either home or at work, doesn't refresh as quickly as it should, but i think thats the computer itself.

Re: NWR- does anyone else notice
Every time I've ever experience LIW to be slo it's been my own home computer...the 13,000 users thing isn't true. it's something to do with search engines spidering the site, I guess searching it to put on their stuff (I really don't get it, ron has posted about it). So anytime the user # is very high, it's that happenning, not that there are really that many prides on the site. Are there even 13,000 engaged women on LI?
Also, as another poster said the words are automatically bleeped out. They can;t posisbly screen every post, and they don't...you'll notice soon enogh that when the drama gets started, you often have to tell Ron about it so he can remove it. Believe it or not he has a wife anda daughter and a life (imagine that)!) and apparently better things to do than read our posts!

Re: NWR- does anyone else notice
Honestly, the screening of words is not slowing down the site. It's just a filter that is applied to the entire Forum interface and it happens in the background so you can't see the difference. I only experience slow periods at work... so for me, I think it's just my server. But too many users at one will do it as well.
