Re: NWR: Does anyone here own a Digital Camera?
I have an Olympus and I love it
It's also really user friendly b/c I can figure it out pretty easily and I'm so bad with that stuff. The pics are so clear, it has an auto zoom and I can zoom in even more. It's very easy to use on the computer to transfer over pics... I love it!!!
ETA: it's also really little and easy to bring everywhere, I keep it in my purse most of the time!

i have an olympus. it is the best!! it even comes with a remote control. so when me and FH go on vacay, there are pics of the two of us not just of each other. it's really cool. and it's 6.1 megapixels!!!
I have the Canon PowerShot SD550 and its amazing. It's 7.1 megapixels and has a 2.5 inch LCD screen.
If your going to buy a new camera, I would start looking at the 7 megapixel models and up. There only a few dollars more than the 5 megapixel models but well worth the money, especially if you want to print 8X10 photos.
The SD550 runs about $350, I also reccomend that you get at least a 1GB card, it will be well worth it!

Re: NWR: Does anyone here own a Digital Camera?
Olympus & Nikon are both great brands for digital.
I have an Olympus E-20N (a few years old) more camera than you would need and its big. FH used to work for Olympus and said they use really high quality lenses.
My friend works for Nikon and has had several nice digitals from them as well.
Try and get 4.0 megapixels or better if you can for good quality prints up to 8x10. Most cameras also allow you to set the quality of the shots from low to high.
I have a 5.0 megapixel only set to medium quality and have enlarged shots to 20'x30' with no loss of quality. Also try and get one with removable memory cards so that you can buy a few and use them when traveling....so you can take more shots without having to delete.
Also if you have an iPod they make some things to allow you to download pics from memory cards to it so that you can re-use the memory card...also comes in handy on vacation. Hope this helps...if you have any ?'s just ask.

I just got a new camera for my birthday and I LOVE it! It takes nice pictures and has a ton of different functions ( some of which i dont know how to use). It also takes video clips. It was a little pricey but well worth the money. I have the Canon PowerShot SD600 Digital Elph Fm me if you want any more info! HTH
