NWR: does this annoy anyone else?

does it annoy anyone when you call to speak to one of your parents & you know they are home & no one answers the phone?


this drives me crazy. i just spoke to FH who was just speaking to my mom outside the house. i call her at home & there is no answer. i don't get many opportunities at work when i can make personal phone calls & when i do i hate when people don't answer. not to mention that by time i speak to her later i will forget what i was calling about.

welcome to my life. my mom just got an answering machine liek 3 months ago.. she lets the phone ring in hopes some1 will leave a message. she likes to replay themessages when shes bored.

my dad could be right next to the phone and he just lets it ring........

I was getting out of the shower and I hear him screaming my name.......'PHONEEEEEEE' im like dad w t f you couldn't answer, its right next to you??

his reasoning: the phone is never for me so why bother.......

i get these:

'wheres your brother'
'wheres your sister'
'vcr = broke, please fix'
'its raining, satellite isn't working'

what the hell? am i my brother & sisters secretaries. i don't know their schedules. & btw i am not a vcr or satellite dish repair person.

im my moms personal computer tech... my mom or dad never let the phone ring... they always answer it...

what I hate is the my dad always thinks im my sister... and when she is there and i call, he calls me the other Diane...

plus, they NEVER check their messages....most of the time the answering machine is full and you cant leave a message

It pisses me off when my boss is in her office and I'm calling her, paging her, e-mailing her and she NEVER responds. Then she'll call me an hour later and asks innocently, 'Were you trying to reach me?' No, I dialed you by mistake 8 times in a row!

FH's parents don't have an answering machine NOR do they have a cordless phone....it takes forever for them to pick up because they have to bolt to one of the two corded phones they have...
