NWR: Donating Toys

NWR: Donating Toys

Girls,

Maybe you can help us. My sister has a ton of toys that she would like to donate somewhere. They are used, but are in great condition and she is having a problem finding a place to take them. She really doesn't want to just throw them out...Does anyone know of someplace that could take them??

Thanks!

Is she in LI?

You could post on LIF in the parenting board. I am sure some moms would love it.

she can just bring them to the salvation army/ goodwill.

They take everything (including toys)

How about a local church? I know mine runs a residence hall for unwed young mothers. They also take donations and sell them at 'yard sales' to raise some $.

I'm pretty sure Big Brothers, Big Sisters accepts toys too. All you have to do is call and they'll tell you when they'll be in the area for pick-up.
