I'm going to register tomorrow and am wondering if any of you ladies can enlighten me... I love down comforters, but never realized there were so many different kinds... whats the difference between light/medium/heavy weight... is there a thread count thing like with sheets... etc.
I was looking into macy's where i'm probably gonna register for them, but saw bed bath & beyond has them too... is the quality just as good at bb&b or not?
Any suggestions/recommendations/comments would be very helpful.
TIA

Re: NWR: Down comforters...
If you're registering at Macy's, I highly recommend the Charter Club Princeton down comforter! it is so silky soft and just the right amount of fill power for most of the year. for the really cold months (Dec. - March) I use a heavyweight down comforter which I also love.

Re: NWR: Down comforters...
i have 1 also.. it charter club.. the thread count is important.. You want a high thread count.. what the thread count is.. for every section of the conforter has a certain amount of feathers and the more thread the less the feathers move around.. (you dont want your feather to be moving all around..
A duvet is a must.. b/c some down comforters you can't wash.. thats somwthing else you want to look for.. one thats washable.. my charter club is washable
