I dont really want to get into the specifics on here...but do any of you ladies know of any inpatient drug/alcohol rehab facilities? In NYC, Long Island, or even out of state? Looking to get some help for a friend and it seems a lot of places will not take you for inpatient treatment until you tried outpatient (and thats really not an option in this situation) tia

Nassau medical has an inpatient rehab. South Oaks does as well.... I never hard of them denying people unless they do outpatient first... outpatient is not that successful AT ALL

Re: NWR: drug/substance abuse rehab centers
oh and yes a lot of times they will deny someone if they havn't had outpatient first. depends what type of drug they are into to, they might need detox first then rehabs, if thats the case the list is very limited for detox facilities if you have any questions FM me, i'm constantly referring people to places

I dont have any suggestions, but just wanted to say I hope your friend gets the help she needs and that everything is ok. You're a good friend to be helping her.
