NWR: Dry Skin Cream

NWR: Dry Skin Cream

Hey Ladies!

I was hoping someone could recommend a good skin moisturizer for dry skin. My face is so dry and flaky and everything I use either does not help or makes me break out because it is too greasy! Any Recommendations?

TIA

I swear by L'Occataine. My skin is really bad in the winter too. This is the only thing that does anything for me. It contains Shea Butter.

Philosophy has a really great one...I think it's called 'When Hope Is Not Enough'. I have it at home, or I'm sure someone can correct me if I have the name wrong!!

I use this one also. It is great. The name is correct. They also have another moisturizer called 'hope in a jar' which I've heard is good.

I think that's the one I have...(Hope in a Jar) I have to check when I get home. I've used both though, and they are both equally good!!!

JERGENS all the way! I've tried them all and this one is the BEST!

ETA: Oh wait you wanted something for your face...I have a combination skin (oily with dry spots) so I use VICHY Therma-something. It is a French product and widely used in Europe and I strongly recommend it since is hydrates your face without making it oily...it leaves your face matte.

I use Dove Sensitive Essentials Day Cream. It's great but it doesn't have SPF so I mix it with Banana Boat Faces Plus Sunblock Lotion. Works for me and doesn't break me out and my skin is SUPER sensitive.

Hope in a Jar is the best or Clea De Peau, the best around!!

I use cetaphil, too. I have really sensitive skin and it works great. I also use the cleanser on my face.

Please use Clinique's Moisturizer. It's the best.

Chanel Age Delay!!

It's by far the best moisturizer I have ever used. I have very fickle skin when it comes to oily/dry combo.

The Chanel Age Delay is so light, does not break me out whatsoever, and my skin is feeling great.

It's expensive, but a little goes a long way.

i use eucerin which has a little alpha hydroxy or cetaphil. my dermatologist told me it is good to exfoliate lightly so that your skin will take the moisture.

I would not use body lotion on my face - it will make you break out. Try a lotion made especially for your face - I swear by Clinique.
