NWR: e readers

Looking o buy my dad and e-reader, i am a nook user but I hear the kindle might be more user friendly for the older generation.. any opinions? I love my nook but dont know if my dad will like the touch screen, does kindle have a touch screen?

IMO a touch screen is easier for older generation because you touch what you need whereas if you have too many buttons it can get confusing

Amazon just released a bunch of new Kindles!! I have a Nook, which I love! FH and I got my mother a Kindle, which she loves. I know she would have some difficulty with a touch screen. I guess it would just be whatever he has a preference for!!

Good luck!

My FH has a Kindle and he LOVES it. The 1 he currently has is not touch screen. But they did just release a few new 1s that are updated. 1 thing that is better with the Kindle is you can connect with 3g where as with a Nook u need a wifi connection. Also, FH said 1 of the new Kindles will let ucheck books out of the library. So I would say do your research on both and ask or find out which he would prefer.
