Has anyone heard this technique to clean the wax out of your ears before? Neither have I until I did it the other day. I recommend anyone that has headaches and throat infections and if your ears hurt to do this, its great, I can hear sooo much better now.

I am really going to look into this!!! I have such bad ear wax and problems with headaches occassionally. I wonder if my mom or grandma have heard of this. I am going to check. Thank you for the idea.

girls, i really don't recommend this!
the cerumen (or ear wax) that builds up in your ear is there for a reason! it catches bacteria and organisms and keeps them from entering your middle ear. the wax will naturally build up and fall out on its own.

ive heard of that
but i know when my mom has done it on us its when we have ear infections or our ears hurt - its not done excessively

YIKES!! I never realized that. Next time I go to the doc for a check up I am going to talk to him. (( although I am still going to ask Grandma ))

you are going to laugh but this is what my mom does and HAS always done to us growing up!
She makes a cone out of newspaper, places the pointy side in our ear then lights it on fire, it ***** the wax out. if you unroll the paper you can see the wax.
I know gross but sheswears by it!
My Dad this to me when I was younger, and it does work. I have so many old weird rememdies, but they work.

Yes everyone needs ear wax to prevent infections but its really good to do once a year, the wax will build up again

OMG seeing the crud is the best part, dont be nervous its 100% safe. I wish I had done that before I went away bec I got an ear effection from the beach water

I've had my ears irrigated with water...my doctor does this every once in a while for me. I used to have bad ear infections as a kid, and my inner ears have alot of scar tissue.
