Does anyone know of a good ear, nose and throat doctor.? I am in Auburndale/Bayside but I am willing to travel to Nassau.
I know I need my tonsils out but my primary doctor says there will to much bleeding involved b/c I am older

I just had my tonsils out about 2 years ago and they said it was risky also because i was older. it actually wasn't that bad of a procedure but very painful afterwords. in the long run it helps you from getting sick as much though. The doctor who did the surgery was really good hes in suffolk county though. fm me if you have any questions about anything.

I go to a wonderfule Ear, Nose and Throat doctor. he actually save my life years ago.
About 5 years ago I was continously getting strep throat. I went to Dr. Etra and he said that I need to be admitted to the hospital immediately. So mom took me to Long Island Jewish. I had a huge absas (not sure if I spelled correctly) in my throat and if it ruptured I would die because it was all poisons. From there I stayed in the hospital for a week until the infection went away and two weeks later Dr. Shikowitz (the best surgeon for Ears, Nose, Throat in New York) in long island jewish removed my tonsils, adnoids and a cyst in my nose.
I am in perfect condition now ....

Edited: I was 22 when I had my tonsils removed.

I just brought my mom to an ear/nose/throat doc last week- he was sooooooo nice!!! And very patient (considering my mom can't hear!! but I guess he'd be used to deaf patients!!).
Dr. Levine- he has an office on Queens Boulevard (right by Yellowstone Blvd.) and one in Howard Beach. I don't have his phone # with me, but I got the referral from my primary doc (Dr. Hershfeld- ph# 718-529-4500).

He is a very good doctor. I am an Audiologist and I have reffered lots of patients to him
