NWR: Easy/Fun Appetizers for Get together

Original post by SweetCin704

Hi ladies we're having some friends over on Friday & I'm so tired of making my 'standards' of frito pie and sausage bread & english muffin pizzas. Does anyone have any easy/fun recipes to share?

Thx.

I make this pasta salad that is really yummy.

You'll need:

Tri colored pasta rotinis
Fresh Mozzarella Ball
Pepperoni
turkey
ham
green olives
olive oil
red wine vinegar
Good seasons Italian seasoning mix (little pouch with powder)

Make pasta, let it cool
then dice mozzarella, ham, turkey and pepperoni into small cubes. Put everything together add olives and then make the Italian seasoning with oil, vinegar and the powder.

You can add other ingredients or take away to your liking. Some poeple add chick peas, salami, etc... It's soooooo yummy you'll love it!
XOXOXO

oh and i have an easy recipe for crab dip too..

get 2 packages of cream cheese, i always do a reduced fat and fat free if im watching then get a large can of crab meat and one onion.
dice up about a 1/2 cup of onion, add crab meat and mix with cream cheese (best if you leave it out while chopping to soften up) then mix well and put in a corning dish, sprinkle bread crumbs on top and bake uncovered at 375 for about 20 minutes or until hot. serve with crackers! it's super yummy if you like crabmeat!

Oh YUM! That looks GREAT!

This thread is making me hungry!!!

bacon wrapped dates stuffed with almonds.

cook bacon through 1/2 way

get pitted dates - stuff with almonds, wrap bacon around and hold together with toothpick.

bake in oven till bacon is fully cooked!!

bruschetta

Cut 3/4 inch italian bread slices (on diagonal)
'toast' one side (lightly)
Take off toaster
Put 1 slice of fresh mozzarella
Put 1 spoon of bruschetta on top
Toast again (flat) until cheese soften.

Success everytime.

Also cantaloup with prosciutto

Wrap prosciutto around 1 inch piece cantaloup, hold with tooth pick.

Do you want to make that chili dip that I had at Janna's place that time? It's really easy, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to do it!!

First spread a layer of cream cheese along the bottom, use the whole thing so you have a nice thick layer. Then spread a can or 2 of chili, the amount should depend on the # of people you're having. Lastly, sprinkle on shredded cheddar cheese to cover the top. Then heat it just long enough to melt the cheese. Serve with nachos and enjoy!!

One of my fave appetizers of all time!!!
