NWR: Embarrassing Question

I'm not the type of person to go out and drink often. I have a few drinks maybe once a month when I do a GNO with my coworkers.

.....The past two times that I have gotten drunk I started to cry. What's the deal??? Am I crazy or what??? Has this ever happened to anyone else???

no. i used to be like that all the time. then i got involved with the FD and started drinking after practices & after drill team tournaments..

hormones def get all messed up when you drink.. and if your stressed you'll break down and cry too.. i do when im stressed and havent drank in a while...

ive seen people get angry, walk off, break stuff, get silly...have you been stressed out lately? maybe it helped you get out some underlying things that you have had on ur mind?

i agree ...thats definitley a culprit...stress and emotion...

we all react differently when we drink.. FH get all affectionate and loveable and cant keep his hands off me in such an adorable way and starts to tell everyone how much he loves me in a not so manly fashion, that his friendsw ould pick on him if he wasnt drunk.....so i keep feeding him drinks..

I know ppl who get all pissy and cry....I knowppl who get silly and happy...its all about emotion...

Have you always reacted that way?

Not at all...every other time I have been silly and laughing....but the past two times I have started to cry for nooooo reason!!!! I have been super stressed lately...so maybe that is why!

It's so funny...well...not really....but FH was making fun of me the next day!! It was bad...he was imitating me crying!!!!!!

After we left I was fine...but then I got sick....he had to carry me up to my bedroom!!!

This is what happens EVERY time I get wasted. I hate it, which is why I don't really drink anymore. My FH calls my alter ego 'Drunk Channy' and hates when she comes out to play. I always end up bawling at the end of the night, usually over absolutely nothing. And if nothing is wrong, I will pick a drunk fight just to have something to cry over. I hate it!!!!!!

Awwww!!!! I'm so sorry!!!! It is the worst!!!! I never want to get drunk ever again!!!! I am so scared I'm going to start crying again and embarrass myself in front of everyone!!!!

I am currently taking a class on addictions and alcohol came up. we've studied the physiological effects of alcohol. And alcohol is a depressant, so your body might be reacting to it in a different way

I think Alcohol brings out a lot of emotions that you have held back on but still think about.
