Your kids are taking it tomorrow? We're taking it starting on Wednesday...what grade do you teach?

New York city changed it to Wednesday because of the inauguration. Don't worry, read the directions before your kids come in and walk yourself through. You will be fine.

Aww there's nothing to stress over when it comes to administering it... now thinking about how well your kids will do - that's something to stress about.
Also, can I just say how much I HATE this stupid test, in particular the 7th grade editing task. GRRR! I'll be so happy when this test is over and I can get back to actual teaching!

I am confused! My director said it had to be administered some time within the week for grades 7 and 8. Everything is all set for tomorrow...the kids are expecting it tomorrow. I hope I am not missing something.

I think there's a choice as to when you take it. I know of two elementary schools that took it on different days. To me this doesn't seem fair at all but whatever.

Oh, yes, I am nervous about that, too. The editing part is so hard for them. Some of them just go crazy looking for mistakes and change everything! I am hoping for the best.

there's a range of days when schools can administer the test. a lot of districts start on wednesday to avoid absenteeism and to give the kids one warm-up day before the test so they don't take it cold after a long weekend.

That makes sense. I just keep worrying about this cold I have. I hope I can get rid of it, so I don't sneeze my way through the listening passage on Wednesday. That just wouldn't be fair to them!
